Adrian Fenty Joins D.C.-based EverFi

Former D.C. Mayor Adrian Fenty has joined D.C.-based EverFi Inc. as a member of its advisory board and will lead the company’s national cities education campaign.

EverFi runs online, interactive courses and certifies students in a number of life skills not necessarily taught in a traditional classroom, like alcohol prevention and financial literacy.

“The economic and social pressures on families in America’s cities are immense,” Fenty said in a statement. “While schools must focus on academic achievement, we also must ensure students have the survival skills necessary to succeed outside the school walls.”
EverFi has launched private-public partnerships in several U.S. cities and intends to expand its outreach to additional metropolitan areas in the next few months.
